Quiz time: What's the best weapon in Left 4 Dead?

False. The best weapon in Left 4 Dead is the propane tank. It's a shame you rarely get to see them (especially not in the demo maps), but sv_cheats 1 enables you to take full advantage of their awesomeness. I've spent hours just throwing them around, up into the air and shooting them with a shotgun. The particle effects are really great, and while messing around with some cvars we found one of particular use.

If you use the command z_throwforce, which is at default 2500, and set it to double, triple, or quadruple that, you throw all items much farther and harder than normal. In the case of the propane tank, the force is so strong that it actually explodes on contact. Awesome. If you don't like the first 5 seconds of the video below, you won't like the remaining minute.

We've seen some questions on voice command binds and we've found how to do it. To say Cover me, use the following command:

vocalize PlayerCoverMe

At the time of this posting, the Left 4 Dead demo has more players than Counter-Strike and only 50 less than CS:S. The peak users today of L4D stands at 25,090.
